Fullstack / Frontend Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a mid-level engineer to help build and refine Hone’s website and supporting web applications. This role is frontend-focused, but you’ll occasionally touch backend systems as well. You’ll work closely with product and design, and your work will ship to real users quickly.

What you’ll do

Build and maintain web applications using React, NextJS, and NestJS

Work with designers to turn ideas into clean, user-friendly interfaces

Write clear, maintainable codeWrite clear, maintainable code

Take part in code reviews and share constructive feedback

Help plan and ship new features

Debug issues and improve existing systems

Optimize for speed, reliability, and scalability

Collaborate with the product team to turn requirements into working features

What we’re looking for

3+ years of software development experience

1+ years of building and shipping consumer-facing products

Strong JavaScript fundamentals

Experience building SPAs with React

A good eye for UI/UX and product quality

Comfortable working independently and owning your work

Clear communication and collaboration skills

Experience working with SQL databases

Nice to have

Interest in PC or console gaming

TypeScript experience

PostgreSQL

Tailwind CSS

Redux and Node

ES6 / ES7

Electron or DevOps experience

Bonus points if you’ve ever cast a fire spell
