01
A calm ride can become a large fight in seconds. World streaming, crowds, effects, and physics can raise CPU, GPU, memory, and storage load together.
New terrain, towns, objects, and characters must load while you cross Pywel.
Enemies, effects, destruction, and physics can make frame times jump during combat.
Shadows, effects, view distance, and resolution may feel fine until the scene gets busy.
Browsers, launchers, overlays, clips, and downloads can use CPU time, memory, or disk access.
02
Hone handles supported PC-side tuning. Then test the game settings that matter most on your own hardware.
Check the official PC tiers first. Crimson Desert needs DirectX 12, 16 GB of RAM, and 150 GB of SSD space.
Reduce unneeded app work so more CPU time and memory stay free for the game.
Test shadows, effects, view distance, and resolution before cutting every option.
Use a frame cap your PC can hold during travel and combat. A stable result often feels better than a peak that keeps falling.
03
Hone works through supported Windows settings. It stays outside Crimson Desert and leaves live game code, memory, inputs, and network traffic alone.
Hone does not inject into Crimson Desert or read and change live game memory.
Hone does not add scripts, macros, bots, or tools that fight or move for you.
Hone does not hide software or try to get around game security checks.
Hone cannot fix a distant server, weak Wi-Fi, packet loss, or a bad ISP route.
04
Every PC responds in its own way. Use one short route and one busy fight to see which changes help your setup.
No fixed FPS promise. Results depend on your hardware, game build, drivers, heat, settings, and background apps.
Pick two nearby landmarks and a repeatable fight. Note FPS, frame spikes, settings, and open apps.
Review each change, apply the ones you want, and restart if Hone asks you to.
Keep the route, game settings, and open apps the same. Keep gains you can see and restore changes that do not help.
Start with shadows, effects, view distance, and resolution. Change one group at a time, then test both travel and combat. Keep textures clear if your graphics memory has room.
Close heavy apps, use an SSD, lower costly graphics options, and choose a frame cap your PC can hold. Hone can also reduce avoidable Windows-side load.
The game may be streaming new world data. Check SSD space, close apps that use the disk, and compare the same route after lowering view distance or effects.
Test it both ways. It can raise the shown FPS, but it may add delay or visual errors when the base frame rate is low. Keep the option that feels better on your PC.
A patch may reset settings or change shader work. Check your preset, restart the PC, and repeat the same route before making more changes.
Hone works outside the game. It does not inject into Crimson Desert, edit live memory, automate input, change network traffic, or bypass security checks. Hone is not made or approved by Pearl Abyss.
