ASSASSIN'S CREED III

Assassin's Creed III moves the series into the American Revolution, where frontier wilderness, colonial cities, and naval combat all share the spotlight. Connor feels different from Ezio by design, which gives the game a rougher, more forceful identity.

Its frontier and Revolutionary War framing give it a different rhythm from the Italian trilogy, with wilderness movement and larger historical conflict shaping the tone. It is an uneven game in places, but one that still matters for how ambitiously it tried to broaden what Assassin's Creed could look like.
