Dying Light makes parkour the answer to a zombie outbreak, turning rooftops, alleyways, and improvised melee weapons into a survival toolkit. Daytime is about movement; nighttime is about realizing movement may not be enough.

Parkour is what gives Dying Light its identity. Zombies are threatening, but the exhilaration of vaulting rooftops, scrambling for elevation, and using movement as survival makes the whole game feel more alive than a heavier, slower apocalypse would. Night only intensifies that contrast.
