OUTLAST

Outlast is a first-person horror game about being trapped in an asylum with no weapons and no good options. The camcorder night vision is simple, but it does a huge amount of work in making terror feel intimate.

The first Outlast distills horror down to pursuit, vulnerability, and the terrible intimacy of a camera's night-vision view. Because the player cannot really fight back, the environment becomes the battlefield, and every locked door or narrow hallway feels charged with immediate panic.
