Wolfenstein: The New Order reboots the series with a stronger story, an alternate-history Nazi future, and gunfights that feel chunky, angry, and deliberate. It is pulpy, sincere, and much better written than many shooters of its type.
The New Order stands out because it mixes heavy alternate-history pulp with a surprising amount of heart. The shooting is punchy, but the quieter moments matter too, giving the resistance fantasy more emotional grounding than a pure corridor shooter usually bothers with.
