Apex Legends Season 30: Marked changes how you track enemies, manage energy weapons, build loot, choose attachments, and rotate on World’s Edge. Bloodhound gets the headline rework, energy ammo becomes a regenerating weapon stockpile, rare loot is harder to find, and Corrupted Attachments pair a major bonus with a real drawback. Respawn also says it strengthened servers to improve stability, reduce lag, and cut slow-motion matches for many players, but that server-side work does not prove a universal local FPS increase. Start with the three Marked-specific settings below, then relearn your route.
Explore the five changes that matter
Pick a system for the short version; every field note remains available.
Bloodhound Is the Headline Rework
Bloodhound entered Marked with the lowest pick rate in Gold and above, according to Respawn’s Designer’s Notes. The answer is a kit that gives the player more information without making the squad wait for one scan.
Enemy movement now leaves a clearer trail, White Ravens can guide the chase from farther away, and Eye of the Allfather follows its initial full-body scan with snapshot pulses. The old Beast of the Hunt Ultimate is replaced by Allfather’s Cloak: a deployed zone that cloaks anyone who enters, including enemies. The effect lasts up to 12 seconds after leaving the area and breaks when the cloaked player fires or takes damage.
That last detail matters. The device is not a private invisibility button. Use it to cross an exposed angle, disguise an entry, or disengage from a third party—but assume an enemy can steal the same cover.
Loba and Rampart Rise; Valkyrie, Axle, and Seer Ease Back
Loba’s bracelet activates faster, flies roughly 30% faster, and gains 15% range. Black Market’s cooldown drops from 150 to 120 seconds. Those buffs land in a season where strong loot is less common, which gives a loot-focused Legend a clearer job.
Rampart’s walls are sturdier and deploy faster, while Sheila no longer slows her as heavily during spin-up and fire. Her passive also unlocks Locked Hop-Ups 50% faster. Valkyrie loses missile damage and 15% of her Ultimate height; Axle’s extended slide window shrinks and her Ultimate can disrupt allies; Seer applies less turn slow. These balance directions are clear, but they do not establish a settled Ranked meta.
Energy Weapons Now Run on a Stockpile
Energy ammo no longer spawns as loose loot. Each energy weapon carries a regenerating reserve measured in magazines, then restores ammo while idle. That frees backpack slots for healing, grenades, or another ammo type, but it also creates downtime. Empty the reserve in a long siege and the gun cannot magically produce the next beam on demand.
Season 30 also adds a useful interface choice. In Settings, find Energy Ammo Display in the HUD/UI section and choose Stockpile instead of Percentage if you want the regenerating reserve shown in magazine-sized terms. It is easier to read “two reloads left” during a fight than to mentally convert a percentage.
Three Season 30 Settings to Change First
- Energy Ammo Display: Stockpile. Read the reserve as remaining magazines instead of a percentage.
- Interact Prompt Style: Default. Keep the full attachment information visible while learning Corrupted tradeoffs; Compact can wait until the icons are familiar.
- Taking Damage Closes Deathbox or Crafting Menu: Off. Damage should not automatically kick you out during an armor swap.
Controller response curve, deadzone, field of view, audio mix, and graphics quality still depend on your hardware and habits. Treat any controller or FOV baseline as preference-led, not as a universal Season 30 upgrade. Use the full Hone settings guide linked below for the Firing Range test and PC graphics route.
Corrupted Attachments Change the Loot Question
Attachments used to be an easy ladder: blue beats white, purple beats blue. Corrupted Attachments interrupt that pattern. An Overflowing Magazine can add rounds while slowing reloads. An Agile Standard Stock can improve movement while cutting magazine size. Other variants exchange hip-fire control, recoil behavior, or capacity for headshot damage, fire rate, or handling.
Only one Corrupted Attachment fits on a weapon. Read the new stat card before equipping it, then match the downside to the fight you expect. A larger R-99 magazine may help finish one close-range knock; the slower reload can lose the next trade. “Higher rarity” is no longer the whole answer.
The broader loot rework reduces high-tier drops across normal locations and time-locks Arsenals at the start. Rare delivery systems—vaults, Trials, care packages, and similar high-value routes—become more important. Ordinary floor loot still builds a usable kit; it simply stops handing every squad an instant endgame loadout.

World’s Edge Rewards a Fresh Route
Sorting Factory returns, Construction Stacks reappears in Fragment, and Big Maude moves above Landslide. Three new or rebuilt areas—Climatizer, War Camp, and Tree Settlement—add different sightlines, elevations, and rotation choices. Treat the first week as map study, not proof that your old drop suddenly became “bad.”

Did Season 30 Improve Lag or FPS?
Respawn says it “beefed up” servers for Season 30 and that many players should experience increased stability, less lag, and fewer slow-motion servers, while noting that not everyone will notice a difference. That is a server-side claim, not evidence of an automatic local frame-rate increase. Better server stability can reduce server-caused lag or slow-motion behavior while your GPU still renders the same frames; it cannot fix packet loss or congestion on a player’s own network path.
Some console players report changed sensitivity or tracking and describe it as a hidden aim-assist nerf. Marked’s official notes document no aim-assist change, while one community reply blamed input delay instead. Neither explanation is confirmed. Compare the same Firing Range drill before changing sensitivity at random.
What does the problem feel like?
Choose the closest symptom before changing five settings at once.
For the PC baseline, use Hone’s current best Apex Legends settings guide. If FPS remains steady but matches rubber-band or spike, switch to the Apex lag troubleshooting guide. Do not stack random launch commands, Realtime process priority, and several limiters just because the season number changed.
Once the game and connection are separated, use Hone to reduce avoidable Windows background load. It cannot repair a slow-motion server, but it can clean up the PC side of your next test.
Apex Legends Season 30 FAQ
What changed in Apex Legends Season 30?
Marked reworks Bloodhound, buffs Loba and Rampart, pulls back Valkyrie, Axle, and Seer, replaces floor energy ammo with regenerating weapon stockpiles, adds Corrupted Attachments, reduces high-tier loot, and updates World’s Edge.
How does energy ammo work in Apex Season 30?
Energy ammo no longer appears as floor loot. Energy weapons carry their own stockpile and regenerate reserve ammo while idle. The system saves backpack space but can leave the weapon waiting for recovery after sustained fire.
What are Corrupted Attachments in Apex Legends?
Corrupted Attachments are high-tier weapon parts with a strong benefit and a meaningful drawback. A weapon can equip only one, so compare its stat card and choose the tradeoff that fits your range and playstyle.
Is Bloodhound good in Apex Legends Season 30?
Bloodhound has substantially more tracking and team utility after the rework, including clearer trails, snapshot scans, and Allfather’s Cloak. That makes the kit more flexible, but it is too early to call Bloodhound a settled top-tier Ranked pick.
Did Apex Legends Season 30 improve performance?
Respawn says it strengthened servers to improve stability and reduce lag or slow-motion matches for many players. That does not guarantee higher local FPS. Compare repeatable frame-rate tests separately from ping, packet loss, and server symptoms.
